Primary Purpose:
Ensure efficient scheduling of buses and drivers for all field trip/athletic/school related functions for entire PISD district.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Valid CDL with passenger and safety endorsements
Region 10 Certification
Able to pass annual DOT physical/drug testing
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Effective organizational, communication, and positive interpersonal skills.
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing.
Efficient electronic and manual file organization.
Experience:
One to three years logistics/administrative experience, preferably in public education environment.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Administers computerized transportation system reservation system (transfinder/infofinder le) for the purpose of scheduling vehicles (buses, white fleet, etc.) and drivers for field trips, athletic events and all other district events. Inputs/updates data as it relates to trip details.
2. Add/train district users on infofinder le and act as help desk support for inquiries.
3. Counsel campus personnel (coaches, teachers, etc.) on trip logistics (i.e, completing trip sheets, DVIR, traffic pattern in bus yard, bus/vehicle cleanliness, etc.)
4. Organizes all logistics of trips for drivers: driver’s sheets, maps, fuel cards (and PIN #’s), etc. Create and provide drivers sheets, maps (as necessary) to transportation and campus drivers on a timely basis.
5. Communicate with PISD security to ensure any PISD staff picking up drivers sheets/keys have access to the Support Services building.
6. Assists in preparing documentation (i.e. field trip log sheets, mileage, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information with fuel/maintenance team.
7. Communicate with shop/mechanics regarding bus/vehicle repairs, and coordinating replacements as necessary.
8. Creates monthly trip billing reports, invoices and routes to appropriate stakeholders.
9. Acts as liaison with the Town of Prosper for events where PISD vehicles/drives are used for shuttling purposes.
10. Obtain current Drivers Licenses and run MVR reports and any PISD employee requesting to drive white fleet vehicles. Set up new drivers in Transfinder as needed.
11. Participates in meetings and trainings to convey and/or gather information required to perform functions.
12. Answers phones, provides front desk support for front office visitors and answers drives questions.
13. Logs visitors in to Raptor as necessary.
14. Operates a 2-way radio in accordance with FCC regulations to gather, pass on and compile information.
