Minimum Salary: $60,500/Days: 250
Primary Purpose:
Under general supervision, maintain, repair, and install heating and air conditioning systems and equipment throughout the district. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all HVAC systems in district facilities.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
High school diploma or GED Driving record that meets the requirements of the district's insurance carrier
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written material
Ability to diagnose and resolve problems Ability to use hand and power tools
Preferred Experience:
Three years of verifiable experience in HVAC controls
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
HVAC Maintenance and Repair
1. Receive and make repairs from work orders.
2. Make various repairs of an emergency nature
3. Make various repairs to controls.
4. Maintain an adequate supply of parts for emergency repairs and routine maintenance.
5. Diagnose HVAC control problems.
6. Dispatch HVAC mechanic when problem is a mechanical issue.
7. Maintain HVAC controls, temperatures, and schedules according to district standards.
8. Work closely with district personnel to make professional and timely repairs to HVAC controls and equipment.
9. Keep Operations Supervisor informed as to the status of repairs.
10. Promote high standards of safety and good housekeeping.
11. Maintain personal appearance at or above minimum standards of the school district’s dress code.
12. Maintain a spirit of cooperation and helpfulness with all school personnel and with the general public.
13. Keep clean and in good repair the equipment issued by the district for the performance of work responsibilities.
14. Demonstrate acceptable work habits including regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability and promptness.
15. Report to work on time each day.
16. Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as needed basis.

Frequent walking, twisting, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching, moderate to heavy lifting and carrying. Work in tiring and uncomfortable positions; outside and inside; on slippery or uneven walking surfaces, ladders, and scaffolding; and around machinery with moving parts. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dampness and humidity, excessive noises, fumes, toxic chemicals, and noxious odors. Frequent districtwide travel. Occasional prolonged or irregular hours. |
