Primary Purpose:
Use a comprehensive knowledge of teaching skills, technology, and technical writing to facilitate the use of the Student Information System (SIS) across the District. Provide ongoing professional development and assistance to district staff and departments to organize, utilize, manage, and problem solve all elements related to the Student Information System.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Possess strong verbal, written, organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills
Ability to write training materials
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, with teachers, staff, and administration
Ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups
Ability to build effective relationships with staff
Ability to provide the highest level of customer service and public relations
Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships, demonstrating tact, diplomacy, and patience, with those contacted in the course of work
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Classroom teaching experience
School counselor experience, preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Student Information System
1. Plan, facilitate, and deliver ongoing, sustained, and intensive high-quality professional development in the use of all major functions of the Student Information System.
2. Develop and provide weekly, monthly, and annual trainings of faculty, staff, and administration, promoting the use of the SIS.
3. Communicate with District personnel and campuses to create custom technical training documents and reports.
4. Work in partnership with faculty, departments, and administrators, counselors, and data entry clerks to determine specific staff training needs.
5. Provide technical and trouble-shooting assistance to campus users and other District staff as needed.
Communication
6. Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with all District staff.
7. Provide excellent customer service.

8. Attend professional development trainings as directed by supervisor.
9. Comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies.
10. Attend and participate in team meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
