Primary Purpose:
Facilitate the effective integration of technology into the teaching and learning process. Support campus faculty, staff and students in the appropriate use of technology.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master's Degree, preferred
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
At least (3) years classroom experience
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of TEKS, district curriculum, national standards and expectations
Knowledge of effective design and presentation strategies for adult learners
Knowledge of curriculum and technology used in instructional settings
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to train adult learners
Ability to work independently and as part of a district-level team
Demonstration of desire to learn and grow professionally
Major Responsibilities:
1. Assist faculty, staff, and administration at assigned campus(es) and district wide in planning effective implementation of curriculum to ensure meaningful technology integration to meet standards.
2. Model and mentor the use of educational technology in all curriculum areas.
3. Provide ongoing professional learning for staff which focuses on the meaningful integration of technology and curriculum.
4. Support the district’s Technology Proficiency Plan through training and resources.
5. Assist director of instructional media in designing educational modules, materials, aids, and activities.
6. Provide training and support for district and campus educational technology applications.
7. Monitor the use of educational technology to ensure that resources and activities enhance academic content and are aligned with curriculum.
8. Establish and maintain professional and open communication with the director of instructional media, other instructional technology coaches, and other colleagues, both in person and virtually.
9. Facilitate the assessment of student technology skills in alignment with the district technology plan, and the use results to help guide instruction.
10. Assist with the planning of professional learning.
11. Provide training during summer professional learning and new teacher orientation.
12. Comply with all district policies and participate in campus activities and meetings.
13. Perform all other duties as assigned by campus administrators, instructional media director, and district administration.
